Basically this prototype of machines are classified into three types:
1. Devastating: Which give form by removing the piece of wood.
2. Presses: that shapes the piece by cutting, drawing and pressing.
3. Specials: which shape the piece through the laser, electroerosion, ultrasonic, plasma and others.
They are named because they are tools that use a form of energy other than human beings, it is said that these were born when you remove the direct action of man in the process of shaping the different tools.
These machines are characterized by shape and materials to be stationary, because they have no mobility, so that it gives the piece can be in metal cutting, stamping and cutting.
Among the machine tools are the most common lathe, drill press, milling machine, grinder, press, saw among others.
in my opinion the use of technology is very important in many cases but the problem is that very soon all this technology will replace the man and many people lose their jobs, which would generate a much bigger problem

Laura, hi again, your point of view is respectable, but you have to consider something, these machines have more than 100 years that were patented, then, I wonder why not a hundred years ago labor displacement?, and that until today are still using these machines, the answer is simple, these machines are designed for their respective work, plus the future may not need manpower to operate it, but if there will be engineers like us that improve and move forward in this evolutionary process that is engineering.
